The Brown Transition Center is a community based program for the 18-21 year old special needs students in the Redmond School District. It is a full-day program for the special needs students who graduate with their modified diplomas. The students work weekly on transition, vocational, independent living skills, community access and adaptive PE goals. The philosophy of our program is “Where do you want to be when you turn 21, and how can we help you get there?”
The Brown TC includes an on-site vocational experience:
Heart In Hand – a gift and handmade craft shop
We also work hard to help the students connect with all the agencies for which they may qualify for services after they turn 21.
